Well, thanks to the new chat group on skype… , we have been finding some interesting stuff… been reviewing it, and trying to keep this from diving into the nether world of psycho-philosophical-babbling-future-nonsense.  But ran we ran across a pretty nice list of links about the TOP DOCUMENTARIES – some of these I have seen, others, no… but planning on going thru them… and seeing what I see… anyway… In there, a new ZEITGEIST release… check this one out!

A spate of recent Fox News attacks on Media Matters tax-exempt status for partisanship included one last week with Steve Doocy interviewing Jordan Sekulow of the American Center for Law and Justice that not only relied on an argument that assumes Fox News is an arm of the Republican Party (which could have legal consequences for Fox), but also came from a guest whose own 501)c)(3) tax-exempt organization has problems with partisanship as I show in this video.

Tapping into the findings of his latest book, NYTimes columnist David Brooks unpacks new insights into human nature from the cognitive sciences — insights with massive implications for economics and politics as well as our own self-knowledge. In a talk full of humor, he shows how you can’t hope to understand humans as separate individuals making choices based on their conscious awareness.

This “Luxury Prison” has no walls, no barbed wire and no guards. The prison island of Bastoy in the fjord of Olso is more like a holiday camp than a prison.

When the weather is nice the inmates go for a walk by the sea or swim in it. They live in the same building but each one of them can decorate his room as he wishes. The director places his emphasis on trust and humanity. The prisoners are required to take responsibility. Norwegians are proud of their liberal prison system. And the statistics seem to back up the approach. Only 10 percent of inmates go on to reoffend.

Will say this one is interesting, and worth a look.

Can’t say how many times I have been told that having an opinion is very common, doing something about it was not. This whole time I have been working on FPR, I have been thinking that, getting the ideas that me and my friends mentally spar with, on a regular basis, needed to be shared. Here, is one of the great minds of our world making a compelling argument for world peace, and it’s benifits. So I always think that a world without war is something we all should hope and work for.

Would be nice to live without the fear we all seem to accept as normal.

Watch highlights of this successful Long Beach program and see its impact on the local community. This is when people come together and work to solve issues in their communities. This is the start, we all need to be involved in the shift. This is nice to see successes.

There is a movement to take the government and your personal records into the virtual world. There is some really awesome talks, and a very beautiful beginning on starting the conversation. These video’s talk about TED and try and show what they are doing. It is billed as part of Government v2.0 – which includes a lot of kind of wildly historically private information, as well as some wild ideas for the future. Check these out.
