Coming Together
Some may call it a chance meeting of two creative minds with the idea of bringing together a better world for their offspring. Others may say that it was meant to be. Regardless of what they may call it, our two hosts were brought together by a common thread – interacting with America’s new media avenues.
One came out of the world of journalism, laid off after years of service to their country. The second, a graphic designer who holds strong opinions on what he believes in. After months of talking and sharing their ideas, they have all come together to open up the Free Political Roundtable: America’s new conversation on politics.
The hosts: Dru and Joe were brought together by a producer at CNN, opening an avenue to talk to Americans about the daily news on Skype. As the conversation kept moving forward, they found that they all had a passion for creating social media: a new technological avenue by which they can have their voice heard about today’s hot topics, and get the ears of those who are making the decisions. ” I decided to be-friend anyone who came in as a means to build a group of people who liked the debate,” Dru said about growing the conversation. “And were open to arguing the points of the world we live in.”
After talking it over, the two found that their opinions (while conflicting at times) were much of the same. This lead to their newest avenue of the media: The Free Political Roundtable.
Forming the Free Political Rountable
The FPR Podcast is not about what makes the news. Rather, its about the people and the opinions that surround the news. “As the fourth estate, it is our job to keep our lawmakers honest,” Joe said. “As America’s Political Conversation, its not just the people in power in the media keeping them fair and honest — you and I are keeping them accountable for their actions.”
What will the Free Political Roundtable discuss? Whatever is of concern to the people. The Free Political Roundtable is a place for everyone to come together and throw their opinion in a formal setting. Its one thing to send messages on Twitter and Facebook, but its a completely different thing to be proactively involved in the message. Free Political Roundtable is that avenue — where the People of the United States can have their voice together, unfiltered and uncensored. About Us
Dru: Describes himself as an Anarcho-Syndicalist with Georgistic tendencies. Dru is a resident of the Midwest by way of an upbringing on the East coast. A conservative by nature, Joe considers himself the educated independent voter, voting on principals and not on party lines.
