On last week’s FPR, our final thought was about the battle between Rush Limbaugh, and MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann calling him out on his comments. What I didn’t realise is that many people may not have saw Olbermann’s response to Rush challenging MSNBC to go 30 days without mentioning him whatsoever. This is important viewing for those who believe in freedom of choice and freedom from hate. We need to stand against these extremists that threaten positive and equitable discourse. We are all for freedom of speech, but also need to realize how this is damaging to our society as a whole.

Interestingly enough, as pointed out in this clip, having openly gay service members does not affect unit cohesiveness. In fact, the younger generation serving today may not actually have a problem with serving with openly gay service members; a starch contrast to what top brass has been preaching.
