On last week’s FPR, our final thought was about the battle between Rush Limbaugh, and MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann calling him out on his comments. What I didn’t realise is that many people may not have saw Olbermann’s response to Rush challenging MSNBC to go 30 days without mentioning him whatsoever. This is some video detailing the circumstances around recent abortion doctor’s murder and about the level to which the anti-abortion movement has taken their discourse into a realm of terrorist groups. This is important viewing for those who believe in freedom of choice and freedom from hate. We need to stand against these extremists that threaten positive and equitable discourse. We are all for freedom of speech, but also need to realize how this is damaging to our society as a whole.

The Armed Services Military Personnel Subcommittee is currently holding a hearing, “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell Review.” The hearing will include testimony from military veterans on the effects of the policy. Rep. Patrick Murphy (PA-08), the only Iraq veteran in Congress, questions the witnesses.
